Horse Loose Hunter - 2015
This bronze horse sculpture of a loose hunter jumping is available in a limited edition of 12. Horse Loose Hunter is wonderfully dynamic - Hamish has caught the horse in mid-flight, saddled but without his rider, leaping with his forelegs tucked up as if over a high fence.
Hamish is well known for his equestrian sculpture. His larger than life Goodman’s Fields Horses have received great critical acclaim. This smaller horse sculpture is no less dramatic in its effect, thanks to Hamish’s comprehensive understanding of equine anatomy.
A great gift for a horse-lover or keen rider, Horse Loose Hunter will resonate with anyone who enjoys watching or competing in equestrian events like showjumping.

THIS SCULPTURE IN THE MAKING
This sculpture was originally a commission. I aim to capture, in bronze, a photographic moment of a horse jumping loose on a hunt, his rider having fallen off. An image I have seen while watching the local hunt.
