Little Owl taking off - 2013 SOLD OUT
Little Owl 2013 is SOLD OUT, so try Tawny Owl 2020 instead.
Hamish’s bronze owl sculpture captures the moment the bird takes off. The Little Owl is usually seen in Britain during the day, often perching on a fence post or tree branch. When alarmed, it will bob its head and take flight, its long rounded wings beating rapidly.
The owl is traditionally associated with wisdom and learning, foresight and prophesy, and is a potent symbol in the mythology of many cultures. Hamish’s Little Owl Taking Off is a dynamic and dramatic interpretation of the power of this loved and revered bird.
It is a limited edition bronze bird sculpture that will bring huge pleasure to wildlife lovers as well as twitchers and ornithologists.

THIS SCULPTURE IN THE MAKING
The Little Owl is a natural British species and one that I have always wanted to sculpt. They move silently through the countryside, here I have sculpted one just taking off from a branch.
