Five Stars for Chelsea Flower Show 2024 June 8, 2024

Exhibiting at Cheslea Flower Show is all about teamwork. It takes a great deal of time and effort by a good many people to put an exhibition stand together. I’d like to thank Bowles and Wyer, who did an excellent job with the design and build, and with the planting. They created a gravel path meandering through the plants and sculptures, so that people could walk through and get a sense of what the sculptures might look like in their own gardens. We were awarded 5 stars for the stand, which we were delighted with!

A special mention must go to Mandy at Bowles and Wyer for sorting out all the exhibitor and guest passes, lorry times, parking, and all sorts of other logistical issues, It was no mean feat! A big thank you to BoxBase for transforming a shipping container into our indoor space and to Everedge for providing edging for the garden. Thanks also to Dan and Julian who transported the container, all the sculptures and plants, to and from the show.

Thank you to Penhaligon’s for giving us some wonderful smelling candles for the stand, and to Private Cellar and Grand Rose for providing us with some delicious rosé wine.

Of course, huge thanks must also go to Lockbund Sculpture Foundry for casting all my sculptures ready for the exhibition, and to my wife Laura, and daughters Isabella and Otterlie for manning the stand with me. And a big thank you to Claire and Mark Wolstenholme for having us all to stay for the week!

The great British weather is always a worry at Chelsea Flower Show. Although rain didn’t help for a couple of days, the sun eventually arrived, dried us out, and put smiles on everyone’s faces towards the end of the week.

Thank you so much to everyone that came to have a look, say hello and buy sculptures. It all made for a really memorable week!
