Andalusian Stallion in National Trust Gardens at Stowe School April 13, 2017

Last year, my bronze  Andalusian Stallion sculpture visited Chatsworth House and Blenheim Palace. It also stood on the Mall in London opposite Horseguards Parade during my solo exhibition. Visitors to these attractions were therefore able to see the bronze horse sculpture up close. Because it stands at over 11 and a half feet tall, it obviously makes quite an impact!

Its first visit in 2017 is to the National Trust Gardens at Stowe School in Buckinghamshire. Consequently, I am much indebted to the Headmaster, Anthony Wallersteiner, for his kind permission. Furthermore, I am also very grateful to Fine Art handlers Aston Spinks. They moved the Andalusian stallion into position outside the Worsley Science Centre, which was quite some feat! You can see it being moved in the video below. It will stay there for the summer, in the beautiful grounds designed by Capability Brown.

The Andalusian stallion is one of six bronze life and a quarter size Goodman’s Fields Horses commissioned by Berkeley Homes. They stand in the main Piazza at Goodman’s Fields development in London. In 2016, the PMSA awarded me the Marsh Award for Excellence in Public Fountains for it. It was such an honour.
