It was great to be back at Chelsea Flower Show at the usual time in May! Things are finally back to normal after the virus.

On the Monday, we were busy shooting footage at our stand for a new film we have commissioned from Pougatch Media. Chelsea is an important part of our year, so any film about Hamish Mackie Sculpture had to feature it!

It is always exciting to see the reaction to my work from visitors to the stand. I was so pleased to see how much people enjoyed the new pieces, especially the Swifts, Greyhound and Lobster.

The stand looked absolutely fantastic. Bowles and Wyer did a wonderful job as always.

It was wonderful to see our new King and Queen as they continued the tradition of visiting Chelsea Flower Show. And it was great to see so many friends from far and wide, and to meet new clients and see old ones.

Annette and Nick Mason dropped by to say hello, as did Michael Owen and his daughter Gemma.

As always, I hugely enjoyed having a look at the gardens on show and thought this year’s all looked very natural. The weather was amazing all week and so was the atmosphere. I loved seeing the Chelsea pensioners. There is something so quintessentially British about Chelsea Flower Show!

Chelsea is a really family affair for Hamish Mackie Sculpture. My eldest daughter Isabella worked on the stand all week. She was joined by her sisters Otterlie and Matilda on the Saturday.

We always come away on a real high after Chelsea. It really is a joy to be there each year. We’re already thinking about what we can do in 2024!
