Hamish Mackie's Jewellery Collection February 11, 2026

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, it feels like the perfect moment to share the story behind my growing jewellery collection.

Although a relatively new venture, each piece of Hamish Mackie Jewellery is rooted in a finished sculpture, carefully reimagined and scaled to be worn and treasured. Looking ahead to the future, I intend to increase the collection with a few select well-chosen pieces over the coming years, as and when sculptures lend themselves to taking a new form for collectors to enjoy.

The first piece in the collection was inspired by my sculpture Barn Owl 2013 (now sold out). The sweeping curve of the owl’s wing immediately suggested a natural ring form — elegant, fluid and sculptural.

Using digital scanning technology, the original sculpture was reduced in scale while preserving every subtle contour and feather detail. The ring is crafted in 18 carat gold, a choice that complements the warmth and refinement of the design.

Made to order, it sits beautifully on the hand — bold yet graceful — a quiet statement piece that retains the spirit and movement of the owl in flight.

The second piece evolved from Ammonite Jurassic Cracked 2018. This sculpture, with its ancient spiral form and dramatic natural fissures, translated seamlessly into jewellery.

Digitally scaled down, the pendant captures the intricate textures and timeless geometry of the original fossil form. It is available in 18 carat gold or sterling silver, each finish highlighting the depth and rhythm of the ammonite’s structure in its own way.

It is a piece that speaks of history, nature and endurance — a sculptural fragment of the Jurassic.

Elephant Pendant 2025

The newest addition to the collection draws inspiration from one of the elephants I sculpted following my trip to Tanzania with Nomad Tanzania last year.

The pendant captures the playfulness of the little elephant sculpture in miniature form, carefully refined to retain the character of the original bronze composition. It is available in 18 carat gold, sterling silver, or 24 carat gold-plated silver.

A tribute to Africa and to one of its most iconic inhabitants.
