Hamish has created a life size bronze goose sculpture available in limited edition. Hamish’s goose sculpture has captured the bird in typical offensive posture with its neck extended, head tilted back, bill open, honking skyward. Geese are well known for their pugnacious temperament and make excellent guard dogs!

Reminiscent of traditional farmyards and countless country scenes through the ages, Hamish’s rendering of the wittily named Lucifer is sensitively done. The detail of his plumage is well observed and Hamish’s goose also manages to effectively convey much of the bird’s obvious intelligence and spirit.

This delightful sculpture would make an amusing focal point to a cottage garden or any outside space.

This sculpture was originally a commission of a tame goose called Lucifer. A real character to sculpt! I look photographs of Lucifer and then sculpted back at my studio. I thoroughly enjoyed sculpting this goose – it reminded me of the farm where I grew up in Cornwall and I hope it makes the onlooker smile.

    A Snowy Start to 2021 and New Sculptures

    The year got off to a snowy start! I quite enjoy a good sprinkling of the white stuff. It turns the garden into a playground for a while! I also enjoy how it casts my sculptures in a new light, transforming the way they look outdoors. We had some fun trying to make snow sculptures too.
