Roe deer are one of our most graceful of native deer species, dating back over 10,000 years to the Mesolithic period. Small and shy, they live in woodland and are mostly active at dawn and dusk. Roe deer are elegant nimble creatures, and when alarmed, will flee with a bounding gait.

Hamish has created a bronze Roe Buck Head sculpture which shows the short upright antlers, alert ears and big eyes of the male Roe deer.

This sculpture would make a perfect gift for wildlife lovers.

Roe have been a favourite subject of mine for many years. We have a handsome buck living in our garden whom is always a delight to see - as long as he keeps off the roses!
