£9,800 inc VATHamish’s experience of studying tigers in India instills his bronze Tiger 2020 sculpture with a realism and a spirit that only comes from seeing these magnificent big cats in the flesh. Tigers are the largest of the cat species and have a reputation for being ferocious. They are capable of short bursts of 60 km/h. Their stripes are the perfect jungle camouflage and they generally hunt by stealth and ambush. It is the moment of ambush that Hamish wanted to portray in this sculpture, which conveys the power and muscularity of the tiger’s body. Available in limited edition.
I will never forget the magical experience of seeing a tiger first hand and the beautiful smells, sounds and sights of wild India. Despite tigers being nocturnal, I was lucky enough to see them in both Tadoba National Park in Maharashtra and Kaziranga National Park in Assam on a research trip organised by Steppes Travel.
